![]() (The previous statement applies to the N64 version, as the engine change and removal of the 'brake-drift' left Krunch at a disadvantage. While a few nasty flaws (like his rotten acceleration) prevent him from being at the top of the proverbial tier list, it would be wise not to underestimate this Kremling. It's easy to label him as a bad character, but with intimate knowledge of the tracks and mechanics, Krunch can beat and/or obliterate developer times. ![]() Personally I've always liked him and wish they'd bring him back. Also I think people can't get past that Kiddy is a baby gorilla. Arguably, Krunch has the highest learning curve in Diddy Kong Racing. I think the main reason is because it 'should have been Donkey Kong' in DKC3 instead of introducing a new character.Krunch is one of the few Kremlings to become affiliated with the Kongs, the other being K. Dixie Kong was iconic, she was the Kong who hovered with her hair, and there's nothing about Tiny that couldn't have been put onto Dixie that's including her namesake ability, as Dixie shrinking wouldn't have been any less viable than Donkey Kong becoming invincible or Diddy strapping on a jetpack. In terms of his relation to DK, the details are blurry. ![]() His debut in Donkey Kong Country began his long career in many Donkey Kong console games as a wannabe DK, always looking up to the main monkey. ![]() He says to his twin, "Where are thosssssssse Kongssssssss going? I will follow!" When selected, however, Krunch never makes any hissing noises. The young and hip sidekick to DK, Diddy Kong is nimble and lightweight.
